Lady Gaga lets writer Lisa Robinson into her childhood home for an insightful piece in Vanity Fair January 2012 — the same issue that features Tony Bennett‘s nude sketch of the singer. A couple of weeks ago, we wrote about the nude sketch of Lady Gaga that Tony Bennett drew after their recording session for “The Lady is a Tramp”; that drawing will soon be auctioned for charity.
Bennett originally drew Gaga for a feature in the Vanity Fair January 2012 issue. It’s signed “Benedetto,” the name Bennett uses to sign his artwork.
Proceeds from the sketch’s sale will be split evenly between the musicians’ charities, which are Exploring the Arts and Born This Way. Bidding starts at $5,000, and the auction will end on
Today, Amy Winehouse would have turned 28 years old. The singer’s tragic death on July 23rd still smarts fans terribly, so we thought we’d mark her birthday by posting this tender video of Amy performing “Body and Soul” with Tony Bennett.
The song was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, and all proceeds from the single will benefit the newly-launched Amy Winehouse Foundation.
And “Body and Soul” held a special part in Amy’s heart, because it was her dad Mitch’s favorite. On the day she recorded it, Amy shared the following story: “My dad personally himself, he was like, ‘Oh,
