Neither an evil queen nor the son of Zeus were a match against the giant money-making monster that is “The Hunger Games.” Jennifer Lawrence’s powerhouse performance continues to dazzle as her film raked in $63.5 million this weekend, putting its domestic gross to date at over $250 million.

As “The Hunger Games” continues to dominate Hollywood, it was only a matter of time before the blogsphere started popping up with stories about Jennifer Lawrence’s chances of nabbing an Oscar nomination (it’s never too early to start), and it looks like E!
Sam Worthington(“Avatar,” “The Debt,” “Terminator: Salvation”), Elizabeth Banks(“W.” “30 Rock” “40-year-old Virgin”), Ed Burns (“The Brothers McMullen,” “Saving Private Ryan,” “She’s the One”), Anthony Mackie (“The Hurt Locker,” “Real Steel,” “8 Mile”), Jamie Bell (“Billy Elliot” “King Kong” “Jumper”) and Genesis Rodriguez (“Casa de mi Padre”) all taped these interviews with Summit Entertainment for the upcoming thriller release Man on a Ledge (directed by Asger Leth).
Slated for release in the US on January 27, 2012, the film’s promotional materials give hope for an adrenalized adventure. People on ledges seem to do that to audiences. Go figure.
Starring Sam Worthington (“Avatar”), Elizabeth Banks (“30 Rock”), Anthony Mackie (“Hurt Locker,” “8 Mile”), Jamie Bell (“Billy Elliot”) and Ed Harris (“Pollock”), “Man on a Ledge” looks like one of those great, high concept flicks full of dramatic tension. Like “Phone Booth” or any good hostage flick (“Dog Day Afternoon”).
This genre certainly has the ability to deliver, and hopes are high for this film. Given the amazing cast, hopes are also high that Sam Worthington can deliver an American accent for the entire movie.
