Philip Seymour Hoffman leads a group of Oscar-nominated heavyweights in the nominations for Best Actor in a Leading Role at Broadway’s Tony Awards.

Philip Seymour Hoffman, Oscar-winner for his turn in “Capote,” stars in Broadway’s revival of “Death of a Salesman.” His fellow nominees include “Frost/Nixon” star Frank Langella (for “Man and Boy”), TV giant John Lithgow (for “The Columnist”) and the inimitable golden-voiced James Earl Jones (Gore Vidal’s “The Best Man”).
