
‘The Lorax’ Smacks Down Newcomers

The strong numbers at the box office continue this weekend (up 6% over 2011) thanks to Dr. Seuss’s “The Lorax” retaining the reins at #1, but it was a massive DUD in regards to new releases.

Silent House" once again lands younger Olsen sister
Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Olsen in the limelight.
Though last year's "
Martha Marcy May Marlene" brought the younger Olsen to our attention with a haunting performance, the hauntings in her latest film might prove longer lasting. In one of those odd movie industry moments, both films were part of the 2011
Sundance Film Festival.
According to the synopsis, "Silent House" finds Olsen sealed in her family's lake house with no way out, the entire film unfolding in ONE continuous real-time take.
