Director Simon Curtis has assembled an enviable list of talent, including likely Oscar nominee Michelle Williams, and the best of the British isles: Sir Kenneth Branagh, Harry Potter’s Hermione Granger Emma Watson, Dame Judie Dench, Dominic Cooper and Burberry model/actor Eddie Redmayne.
Taken from Colin Clark’s diaries, there is no doubt that much of the world has at one time or another been obsessed with, or at least captivated by, the stories that surround the most explosive of blonde bombshells, Marilyn Monroe.
Here are the official interviews:
Of course we were way too excited when the first clip for the film was released, and we’re still pretty amped. The Weinstein Co just released a new poster and a new clip for the Michelle Williams-starring “My Week with Marilyn.”
The poster’s above. The clip’s below. We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again after watching and re-watching Michelle as Marilyn in this very bathtub – we’ll eat our proverbial hat if the actress isn’t nominated for an Oscar for this one.
The Weinstein Co’s “My Week with Marilyn” had its premiere at Film Society of Lincoln Center in New York the other night. Starring the superb (and likely Oscar-nomination-worthy) Michelle Williams as the icon of blonde, the film also features Kenneth Branagh as Sir Laurence Olivier, Dougray Scott as Arthur Miller, Judi Dench, Dominic Cooper, Julia Ormond, and actor and Burberry model Eddie Redmayne as Colin Clark.
The Weinstein Co. has announced a teaser website for “My Week with Marilyn” starring Michelle Williams as the icon of blonde, Kenneth Branagh as Sir Laurence Olivier, Dougray Scott as Arthur Miller, Judi Dench, Dominic Cooper, Julia Ormond, and actor and Burberry model Eddie Redmayne as Colin Clark.
The story (slated for release on November 4, 2011) has it that Colin Clark escorted Marilyn Monroe through the English countryside for a week, away from the prying eyes of the world’s media attention, and in the absence of her then husband, playwright Arthur Miller.
