Beyonce is officially taking over the world: the singer recently had a horse fly named after her, the Scaptia (Plinthina) beyonceae. Researchers at the Australian National Insect Collection first collected the Beyonce fly in 1981, Knowles’ birth year, but that isn’t why the fly earned its moniker.
