At long last, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are engaged. The couple has been together for seven years and has a brood of six children.
Cynthia Pett-Dante, who manages Pitt, released a statement that said, “Yes, it’s confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time.”
The ring was designed by Pitt and jeweler Robert Procop, who had this to say about the bauble to the Hollywood Reporter:

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly planning to build a private theme park for their kids on the grounds of their South of France home, Chateau Miraval. The opulent architectural move is primarily due to security concerns: during a trip last year to Legoland in Windsor, the Jolie-Pitt clan was forced to leave early when a crowd formed around the group.

At last night’s Academy Awards®, Angelina Jolie took a coquettish stance as she presented the award for Best Adapted Screenplay, placing one hand on her hip and extending her right leg out from her dress’ high slit. The moment instantly went viral: while accepting their award, the screenplay award winners — “The Descendants” producer Alexander Payne and cowriters Jim Rash and Nat Fixon — mimicked her stance.
