“Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” was always going to be a greenlit project given the 2007 original’s global $230m box-office take from a budget less than half that amount.
Five years on, Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze, supported by “The Wire’s” Idris Elba as “Moreau” and Johnny Whitworth as “Carrigan/Blackout.”
In smart counter-programming to Valentine’s Day fare, the film opens on February 17, 2012.
Check out the official interviews with each of the film’s leads (provided courtesy of Marvel/Sony/Columbia/Hyde Park/Crystal Sky) below:
Jon Favreau, Malin Akerman, Chris Evans, Jason Ritter, Garcelle Beauvais, Tim Daly, Goran Visjnic and other celebs joined the festivities in LA on Thursday night as Tesla Motors unveiled its new crossover electric vehicle, the “X.”
Not content to just put out another electric car, Tesla has become known as a lion in its field, offering up electric vehicles that don’t just match their gas counterparts for performance, but exceed those expectations, earning them a place in the homes of superstars across the country.
Tesla founder Elon Musk is himself a huge celeb in the business and engineering worlds, having founded a number of successful enterprises including PayPal, and is now on the forefront of both space and automotive technology. He’s already been named a “Living Legend in Aviation,” one of Esquire’s “75 Most Influential People of the 21st Century,” one of Forbes magazine’s “America’s 20 Most Powerful CEO’s 40 and Under,” the FAI Space Gold Medal (previously awarded to Neil Armstrong) and one of Time Magazine’s 100 people who most influence the world.
“Iron Man” director Jon Favreau named Musk as the inspiration behind Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark character.
