Jason Statham has the cover of the April 2012 issue of Details magazine, but the action star is quick to dispel any ideas that he is a brand. Consider this exchange between Statham and Details writer Ivan Solotaroff:
“Do you think of yourself as a brand?” I ask.
“Fahk no,” he smirks. “Why should I?”
“People see a guaranteed $30 million a film as a brand in need of management.”
“Fahk ‘em. Kim Kardashian‘s a brand.”
Statham also discussed how he values authenticity in his action roles, choosing to do as many of his stunts as possible. “Fahkin’ hate green screen,” he sneered. “Pay significant amounts of money never to do it again. You cannot fake adrenaline.”

If you’ve ever wanted to see Justin Bieber get beaten to a bloody pulp, you’re in luck: the Complex 10th Anniversary Issue features two covers of a bloodied Bieber in the ring. Yesterday, we showed you photos of Nicki Minaj’s two-cover shoot for the same April/May 2012 issue, but these take a far more gruesome tack.
Bieber revealed in his interview that he and girlfriend Selena Gomez don’t plan on hiding their relationship.
“There’s no way to hide the relationship completely, because then it would be unfair to us,” he said. “It’s like, ‘You take this car, and I’ll take this car, and then we’ll meet up at the spot. Then, you go in this door, I’ll go in this door. We’ll end up crossing ways. You get back in this car. We’ll cross over, do a James Bond. You go through the kitchen. I’ll go through the back area. Then we’ll meet in the dressing room and see each other.’ At that point, it’s not even a relationship. You’re just hiding from everyone. That’s unfair and unhealthy, man.”
