In the March 2012 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, we see a side of Gwyneth Paltrow that we haven’t seen for years, courtesy of photographer Terry Richardson. The 39-year-old actress donned gowns with waist-high slits and mesh panels for the editorial, and in her interview, she revealed her thoughts on Botox, her dedication to clean living and family life.

Paltrow said that she’s not a fan of Botox, adding, “I’ll take my wrinkles.” Instead, she prefers facials and “little things, like lasers.” There’s also the 90-minute workouts she does with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson, a dance-heavy regimen that ensures “that you’re muscular, but you don’t get used to anything.”

Gwyneth Paltrow is also currently doing a 12-week detox. “I have a lot of inflammation in my system, so I’m not having anything I’m allergic to — no gluten, no dairy, no sugar,” she said. How did she know it was time to detox? “I’ll wake up exhausted; I can feel my adrenal cortex being really high. When I get into bed, my heart will pound, my skin won’t be good, I’ll feel cranky, and then I’ll just know it’s time.”
