Nick Nolte is awesome, should have been Oscar-nominated for Warrior, and his house seems like it would suit him to a 'T' - set on 2 acres in Malibu's Bonsall Canyon, this 6,000 square foot home has towering beamed ceilings, mahogany wood French doors and windows, and otherwise just has an air of gravitas that lends itself to Nolte's oeuvre of tough-yet-earnest roles.
The pool is more like a lagoon, there's a lighted tennis court/basketball court, even the 2 bedroom guest house has fireplaces, and the library/office area commands views over the property. Even the floors are freakin' onyx and Italian marble with wood inlay. The dude is gravelly, and his place is earthy. Check it out, and feel free to place a bid in the $8.25 million range.

Casey Kasem and the weekly top FORTY TWO MILLION DOLLARS!
Holy Holmby Hills, man! Casey and Jean Kasem have listed their French Classic Revival style property for a staggering $42m smackers. The place is huge, 12,000 square feet of single story living space, redecorated over the years by Mrs.K to include all sorts of antique furnishings and materials.
Purchased back in 1989, when the couple were living at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and were expecting their first child, the property sprawls over 2.4 acres. There's a library, screening room, design room, and even a room that the couple used as a hair salon. And there's a tennis court, three-hole golf course, and, of course, the heart-shaped pool.
Must get hard looking after a place like this... that's why there's a service 'wing.' Nice work, Mr. Kasem, nice... work.

Set back toward the mountains, due north of Glendale and Pasadena, La Cañada might not be well known in official Hollywood circles, but Vince Vaughn, fresh off his "internship" at Google (see trailer below), has picked up some property there for a shade under $4 million.
And it kinda looks like the Colonial-style house in Wedding Crashers!
The 5 bedrooms each have their own bathroom. Gotta like that. Cherry hardwood floors. Nice. A library. Interesting. "Park-like grounds." Good. And not too far from a Trader Joe's. Hmmmm, okay... what's goin' on, Vince? Sounds like you're retiring!
You know the drill, take the tour:

Christina Aguilera has closed on a genuine wow of a new mansion (not long after selling her old mansion) for a super round $10,000,000. This one has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, over 11,000 square feet of living space, a paneled library, screening room, bathhouse, gazebo, saltwater pool, and $24,000 a year in HOA fees to the Muholland Estates Beverly Hills gatekeepers.
The previous owners, Tom & Holly Gores (who own interests that include the Detroit Pistons) paid about $4.6 million for the property a dozen years ago. Take a tour below.

Model and former MTV veejay Daisy Fuentes is all set to add to the Malibu views buying an oceanfront property along the Pacific Coast Highway for a cool $5.75 million.
The property sits along 50 feet of sand at Las Flores Beach and features handcarved limestone fireplaces and is framed by mahogany doors and windows. With living space of 3,836 sq.ft. over three floors, on a lot size coming in just under 8,000 sq.ft., it looks like things for Daisy are pretty rosy. Check out the pics:
