Year of the Ewan? McGregor’s Films Fill 3 Spots at Palm Springs

Is it the year of the Ewan?

In addition to his appearance on the cover of indie movie magazine MovieMaker this month, Ewan McGregor‘s “Beginners” is earning accolades for its director (Mike Mills) and supporting star (Christopher Plummer).

If that weren’t enough for the 40-year-old, three of the films named to the Palm Springs International Film Festival line-up star the Scotsman – “Perfect Sense” with Eva Green; “Haywire” with Gina Carano, Michael Douglas and Antonio Banderas; and the festival’s opening night film “Salmon Fishing in Yemen,” from CBS Films, co-starring Emily Blunt and Kristin Scott Thomas.

Suddenly we’re thirsty for a single malt.
