The Blu-Ray, Ultraviolet and DVD of the Wes Anderson-directed “Moonrise Kingdom” hits the American market on October 16, and there’s no doubt many fans will be looking for Anderson to be singled out for at least a screenplay Oscar come awards season.
The film blasted away the independent box office with its tale of two 12-year-olds who fall in love the old fashioned way and set off on an historic New England adventure pursued by parents (Bill Murray & Frances McDormand), police (Bruce Willis) and the scout patrol (Ed Norton & Jason Schwartzman). Anderson brings in the charm of his other hits, “The Royal Tenenbaums,” “Rushmore,” and “The Fantastic Mr. Fox,” and his usual cast of characters keeps the 1965 mood in full swing.
The highlight of the special features has to be a set tour hosted by everyone’s favorite Ghostbuster, Bill Murray.
