55-year-old sci-fi babe Sigourney Weaver has booked a 2008 flight into space on zany kajillionaire Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic spacecraft. Wait a minute. Virgin Galactic? Virgin Galactic?
The company itself has indeed confirmed that "discussions are taking place" for Weaver to "return to space" by riding one of the first Virgin Galactic (Virgin Galactic???) flights to 70 miles beyond the planet's atmosphere, where tourists will experience six minutes of weightlessness before returning to planet Earth. Star Trek's Captain Kirk, William Shatner, and inexplicably famous moron Dave Navarro are two of the 7,000 other kooks who have signed up for the venture. And you can sign up too, for the low, low price of $207,000!
