Catch a glimpse of what you can expect from season two of “The Newsroom“. HBO has released an extended promo, which features the many changes fans can expect from the Aaron Sorkin drama.
In the promo, Sorkin and executive producer and director Alan Poul reveal that there is a single storyline our beloved journalists follow this season. In season 2, the crew is facing a wrongful termination lawsuit and the reputation of the show and of Will (Jeff Daniels) and Charlie (Sam Waterson) are in jeopardy.
Meanwhile, tension is still high between Will and Mack (Emily Mortimer), as Will is still unable to forgive his ex for cheating on him. On the other hand, Jim (John Gallagher Jr.) heads out in the field to cover the Romney campaign to escape the current situation between Maggie (Alison Pill) and Don (Thomas Sadoski). Neal (Dev Patel) is enthralled with the Occupy protest and, according to Sorkin, Maggie will “lose everything.”
The second season of “The Newsroom” will premiere on HBO Sunday, July 14 at 10 pm.
