Tatum relates from Comic-Con in San Diego that for his new film, an action/thriller titled “Haywire,” getting to work with Steven Soderbergh meant the actor didn’t care if he was cast as a masseuse or a waiter; Tatum also seems happy to fight alongside MMA fighter Gina Carano.
Displaying a fun, relaxed side, Tatum reveals he challenged his manager to wear a Chewbacca costume to Comic-Con. The 31-year-old has ten projects on his cards over the 2011-2012 season, including “G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes,” and the much-awaited “21 Jump Street.”
“Haywire” is scheduled to be released in January 2012 and, in addition to Tatum and Carano, stars Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Michael Angarano, Bill Paxton and “X-Men: First Class’s” Michael Fassbender.
