Venice Film Festival Day 2: Spike Lee is Honored, and Honors Michael Jackson (HUGE Photo Gallery – 70+ Pics)

At the world’s oldest film festival, Jaeger Le-Coultre honored Spike Lee with the 2012 Glory to the Filmmaker Award. Lee is attending the festival with “BAD 25” – a documentary about the musician who Spike admitted wanting to be – Michael Jackson.

The film celebrates the 25th anniversary of that seminal album, Lee admitting the film was a ‘love letter to Michael Jackson,’ and, consequently, the film leaves out the conduct and allegations of improprieties that dogged the performer, instead capturing reactions from the many people who worked with the King of Pop, and registering their sentiments when they heard that the King had died.
