Vanessa Hudgens took a page from Ben Foster‘s book to prepare for her role in “Gimme Shelter” by spending two weeks in a homeless shelter. Hudgens appeared on today’s episode of the “Rachael Ray Show” to discuss the experience.
“I lived there with all the girls, with all the kids, so I think that’s it’s really interesting because you find so much more about yourself,” said Hudgens. She even took over some of her beauty duties in the film, explaining, “I actually cut my own hair for this movie. I did that to myself, yes, I did.”
In January, we reported that Foster similarly prepared for his role in “Rampart” by spending two weeks in L.A.’s Skid Row armed only with a knapsack and piece of cardboard. What do you think of Hudgens’ and Foster’s Method acting?
