In April, Tyra Banks announced that longtime judges Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander were all out at “America’s Next Top Model,” leaving fans of the reality competition series befuddled, to say the least. At the most recent CW upfront presentations, Banks revealed several changes to the format and judging lineup for the 19th cycle.
For starters, the audience now has a say in which models stay and go: the CW website will be reworked to integrate an online voting model during production. Male model Rob Evans and fashion PR pro Kelly Cutrone have been added as permanent judges, while stylist Johnny Wujek is the show’s new creative consultant.
The latest cycle of “America’s Next Top Model” will air in the fall, although fan judging begins on May 24. What do you think of the show’s shakeup?
