It looks like Kirk Cameron might have met his match. “Two and a Half Men” star Angus T. Jones isn’t even waiting until his series comes to an end before turning his back on the evil ways of Hollywood.
In a video posted to the YouTube channel of The Forerunner Chronicles, Jones explains that since he is under contract, he cannot leave the show. However, that doesn’t change the fact that he’s against the “filth” it puts out and wants people to stop watching. “If you watch ‘Two and a Half Men,’ please stop watching ‘Two and a Half Men.’ I’m on ‘Two and a Half Men,’ and I don’t want to be on it.”
“If I am doing any harm, I don’t want to be here.” He continued, “I don’t want to be contributing to the enemy’s plan. You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can’t. I’m not OK with what I’m learning, what the Bible says and being on that television show.”
Apparently, Jones had a spiritual awakening after his parents’ divorce left him wanting to act out. He explained, “At the time, I also started dating this girl, and when I look back now, I see that as a time when the enemy was trying to push me in that direction. But God knew he was going to pull me out at the last second.”
Jones maintains that he’s been able to keep his virginity intact and turn away from the temptations of evil. It remains to be seen if God will be intervening in the 19-year-old’s remaining contract with “Two and a Half Men.”
