Trisha Yearwood‘s Food Network cooking show “Trisha’s Southern Kitchen” has been renewed for a second, expanded season. The first season of the Grammy winner’s show debuted with six episodes this year; it’ll return this fall with 13 episodes.
“Our viewers loved seeing a different side of Trisha,” said Food Network GM and senior VP Bob Tuschman. “Her impressive cooking skills and family recipes, coupled with her natural Southern charm, really resonated with our audience.”
After attaining success in the music business, Yearwood is building quite a name for herself in the food world. Her two cookbooks, “Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen” and “Home Cooking With Trisha Yearwood,” have both topped the New York Times best-seller lists.
Trisha Yearwood also released a statement about her forthcoming second season, saying, “It was such a great experience, and the positive response from viewers was overwhelming and truly gratifying. I’ve always believed that food brings people together. I can’t wait to share more family memories and recipes with Food Network fans.”
