Travis Barker graces the cover of Inked magazine, covered in tattoos that help tell the story of his life. However, he’s missing some important tattoos that fill in the spaces.
An unexpected outcome of the horrific plane crash that Barker and his friend DJ AM survived in September 2008, is the fact that the drummer’s injuries from the accident destroyed his early body work. He said, “All of my first tattoos were gone after that plane crash and my skin grafts. So I have a second chance to do my legs all over again, which is kind of cool for that to come out of a bad situation.”
Does that mean his past has disappeared in the wreckage? It doesn’t appear so. “I think I might get my first tattoos all over again in the same places. I get tired of being asked ‘What was your first tattoo?’ and not being able to show anybody.”
