Third Person star, Olivia Wilde, made sanely popular by House and now by a string of indie films that followed major outings in Tron and Cowboys & Aliens, was awarded the first ever “Starmeter Award” by mega movie site IMDb the other night at Bressai restaurant in Toronto.

Her Third Person director, Paul Haggis, was on hand to present the award to the actress, and many of film’s finest critics and journalists joined the festivities. IMDb founder and CEO Col Needham was also in attendance, having started the site in 1990 as a software platform, the site ranks as the highest trafficked site for movies the world over, with an app downloaded in excess of 50 million times.

Wilde, who also stars in Rush (with Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl) and Her (with Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson), is finishing the year in full force.
