Cam’s new show, Trippin’ (how delightfully urban!) involves Ms. D traveling to strange and exotic places and, apparently, getting in all sorts of hilarious hot water. She was about to take a balloon ride in the Serengheti when she heard the strangled cries of one of her cameramen, who had gone to take a leak in the bushes. Cammy came rushing out and–well, we’ll just let her take it from here, in her inimitable fashion: “I can hear, I know exactly, like instinctually (sic) (it’s) the paws of this cat just running and I hear this growling and then I hear this ‘Aarrrghh’. I was like, ‘Was that Tony or Tripp, I’m not sure…’ It was one of the lions charging a couple of the guys. They ran like little babies back into the house. I, of course, grabbed my camera and ran outside.”
This wasn’t the only close encounter with nature that Cam experienced while filming her show. She also damn near got molested by a millipede. She relates, “I was over going to the bathroom out at this crocodile facility that we’re at. I’m, like, in the most precarious position, completely vulnerable and this millipede comes crawling out of the toilet and it’s got, like, a zillion fingers coming out… I can do anything but insects.” The moral of these stories? Under no circumstances are you to ever go to the can while in the presence of Cameron Diaz.
