Former “Jersey Shore” star Vinny Guadagnino has premiered a brand new talk show on MTV. Called “The Show With Vinny,” the show has a myriad of celebrities visiting Vinny in the Staten Island home he shares with his family for a candid interview.
“Celebrities come over to my house where I grew up in Staten Island,” Vinny told The Hollywood Reporter. “My mother cooks for them, we have a big Sunday dinner with my family, I interview them [and] sometimes we do something fun.”
“The Show With Vinny” premiered on MTV on Thursday night, with an appearance from rapper Lil Wayne. During his visit, Wayne got treated to a home cooked meal of broccoli rabe before heading to a skate park with the talk show host.
“No talk show has ever been filmed like this,” Vinny added. “It really is a lot of fun and the celebrities, you see them in a way you’ve never seen them before.”
Getting celebrities to Staten Island might seem difficult, but Vinny says his MTV connection makes bookings easy.
“There’s always celebrities around. Some of the best bookings have come from my personal connections because they already feel comfortable with me, but MTV books the show as well and it’s a great network to be on.”
While Vinny interviews the guests, his mom Paula is busy in the kitchen cooking a big Sunday dinner. And sometimes, we’ll even see an appearance from Vinny’s Uncle Nino, whose barely understandable quips became famous on “Jersey Shore.”
“The Show With Vinny” airs Thursdays at 10 pm on MTV.
