“The Hunger Games” fans may be delighted to know that the village used as District 12 in the runaway box-office hit is up for sale. The Henry River Mill Village in North Carolina is selling for a cool $1.4 million, all because the owner is sick of curious fans.
“I’m getting too many visitors,” owner Wade Shepherd said to the Associated Press. “Day and night, they’re driving through, taking pictures, getting out and walking. I’m just bombarded with people.”
The Henry River Mill Village has been abandoned since 1987, which only added to its overgrown look. The village made for a perfect District 12 — how fast do you think it will sell?
