“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will celebrate its world premiere in London. The film will premiere on November 11.
“Catching Fire” is based on the second novel in a book series by Suzanne Collins. “The Hunger Games’” stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth reprise their roles in the second film, which will feature Katniss (Lawrence) returning home after winning the Hunger Games. She, along with Peeta (Hutcherson), will embark on a victory tour where Katniss begins to notice rebellion taking place across the country.
The first film in the franchise grossed almost $700 million worldwide. Lionsgate’s decision to hold a premiere in London is likely to show appreciation for the first movie’s many fans and acknowledge its worldwide success.
“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will hit theaters on November 22.
