The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo – Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara & Christopher Plummer’s World Premiere Video Interviews

The videos below are snippets with each of Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, Robin Wright, Joely Richardson and Stellan Skarsgaard at the world premiere for the much-anticipated “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.”

While the film had already been made in Swedish, David Fincher ["The Game," "The Social Network"] took on the adaptations for the bigger-budgeted, English language films of the Millenium trilogy. Brilliantly cast in the leads are Daniel Craig (aka James Bond) as Blomkvist, and Rooney Mara ["The Social Network"] as Lisbeth Salander. Mara has a difficult task given the acclaim lauded on Noomi Rapace for her take on the heroine in the Swedish franchise, but early sneaks at Mara’s Salander were more than encouraging, they were exciting.

These short interviews were recorded by the studio at the film’s premiere in New York.

The New York Times has called him the most accomplished classical actor in North America. He’s been compared to acting legends Sir Laurence Olivier and Sir John Gielgud. Michael Caine said his Hamlet was one the best he’s ever seen. He has made more than 100 movies. And, until last year, he may very well have been the finest actor of his generation never to receive an Academy Award nomination. His portrayal of Leo Tolstoy in The Last Station finally earned him the nod. All this, and he’s Canadian. Born in Toronto in 1929, and raised in Quebec, Plummer’s great-grandfather was Sir John Abbott, our third Prime Minister. In 2008, Plummer published his autobiography In Spite of Myself, but he’s far from done. His performance in The Tempest at this year’s Stratford Shakespeare Festival earned raves; The New York Times’ Charles Isherwood wrote, “The real magic — and the most beautiful music — resides in the voice of the great actor Christopher Plummer.”
