Walter White and Jesse Pinkman are returning to the small screen for the final eight episodes of “Breaking Bad” this summer.
The series was originally renewed in 2011 for a final 16 episodes. Creator of the show Vince Gilligan decided to split the 16 episodes into two final seasons, one in 2012 and one in 2013.
AMC has also added a recap show titled “Talking Bad,” which is said to be similar to the “Walking Dead” recap show, “Talking Dead.” The host of the recap show has yet to be revealed, but the network is expected to make an announcement very soon.
In other “Breaking Bad” news, Saul Goodman (played by Bob Odenkirk), might be getting his own spinoff series. Gilligan is said to be working on a way to continue the franchise’s success with a comedy based on the less-than-ethical lawyer.
The final eight episodes of “Breaking Bad” will premiere on August 11 on AMC.
