Ted’s kids are finally talking and they don’t have anything nice to say. In a new promo for the final season of “How I Met Your Mother,” viewers are taken to the year 2038, where Ted’s kids continue to sit on the couch listening to their dad’s stories. However, they aren’t very pleased with how the last eight years have gone.
Played by Lyndsy Fonseca and David Henrie, Ted’s kids tell their dad exactly how they feel about having listened to his stories for the last eight years, but still having no idea how he met their mother. After a few pouty-mouthed comments from his kids (understandably so), Ted (Josh Radnor) finally agrees to get to the punch line.
In a twist, the final season of “How I Met Your Mother” will take place over just one weekend, the weekend Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin (Cobie Smulders) get married. The creators of the show revealed a few exciting tidbits about the final episodes during Comic-Con.
“We’re throwing a wedding and everyone’s invited! If there’s someone that you’ve loved over the past eight years on this show, there’s a good chance that they’ll be there,” said Carter Bays, co-creator of the show.
You can also expect to see something new from Robin Sparkles, the last two slaps Marshall (Jason Segel) owes Barney from their slap bets, and we’re finally going to find out how the pineapple ended up on Ted’s nightstand.
“How I Met Your Mother” returns to CBS on September 23. See what Ted’s kids have to say in the video below.
