Taylor Swift might be young at 22 years old, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t experienced her share of heartbreak.
Since she released her last album “Speak Now,” Swift explained to Rolling Stone, “I went through a few roller coasters. Trying to chronicle each step of the way was challenging, because you go to some really dark places with the lyrics. Then in the next track, you’re talking about how amazing it is to meet somebody new.”
Sure her last album was incredibly intimate, with Swift taking on the writing duties solo, but on the upcoming release “Red,” she decided to move in a new direction and collaborate with some of the industry’s best. That doesn’t mean she’s veered away from her popular theme of relationships and love, though.
“I know general things about love,” she said. “How to treat people well, what you deserve and when to walk away. Other than that, love is a complete mystery – and that’s why I like to write about it.”
