I understand Taylor Momsen. If people knew me primarily as Cindy Lou Who and if the bulk of my last name consisted of the name of a parental figure, I’d probably rebel, too. True, at seventeen my idea of rebellion would be less waggling my tampon string for the paparazzi and more not putting my all into my 4-H project for the county fair, but to each their own. In addition to wearing stripper heels, smoking cigarettes, and enjoying long talks about life with her BFF, a vibrator, Taylor is a pyromaniac. According to MTV UK, the guitarist in her band The Pretty Reckless said:
“Taylor loves setting things on fire, so this is great. Taylor thinks we’re some rock ‘n’ roll badasses. In the studio, there was this pit where the owner would burn stuff. We’d burn old keyboards, computers, stuff them full of TNT and set them on fire. Taylor loves fire. I shouldn’t say this. One morning, Taylor got into the studio really early – she’d just had her dog neutered and brought in the bits. Which she then burned. We were grossed out.”
Because really, there’s nothing more rock n’ roll than having your purebred dog responsibly neutered then igniting his severed ballbag while recording your vanity music project with your Gossip Girl residuals.
