A musical based on the music of late rapper Tupac Shakur is headed to Broadway. “Holler If Ya Hear Me” is planning a premiere during the 2013-14 season.
Following last weekend’s groundbreaking Coachella show that featured a hologram of Tupac Shakur performing alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, Jackie Jackson teased that a Michael Jackson hologram tour might also be in the works.
Speaking with E! Online‘s Marc Malkin, Jackie discussed his upcoming Unity Tour with Jermaine, Tito and Marlon and the possibility of Michael joining them on a second, larger tour afterward. “It could have Michael — absolutely,” he said. “Wouldn’t that be wonderful? This morning, Bajan musician Rihanna tweeted a photo of her “Thug Life” tattoo. The ink is a clear nod to late rapper Tupac Shakur, who had the same tattoo; however, whereas Skakur’s tattoo was in black ink, Rihanna opted for a more feminine pink.
Rihanna accompanied the photo with a quote from “Tupac Back” by Rick Ross: “All these b*tches screaming that 2Pac back.”
Shakur famously maintained that the acronym “Thug Life” stood for “The hate you give little infants, f*ck everyone.” Rihanna hasn’t indicated whether she’s assigned a similar meaning to her knuckle tattoos.
