Black was by far the color of choice on the red carpet this week, while glitzy, glamorous embellishments also had their moment. For more, take a peek at Celebs.com’s top 5 best-dressed celebs of the week.

5. Kerry Washington

In NYC to promote her latest film Django Unchained, actress Kerry Washington wowed in a chic A.L.C little black leather dress styled with nude Christian Louboutin pointy-toe pumps. She topped off her ensemble with a necklace and earrings by House of Lavande and a bracelet, rings and necklaces by Sydney Evan.

4. Jordin Sparks

Dressed in a beautiful black Nicole Miller gown with metallic embellishments, singer/actress Jordin Sparks shined on the purple carpet at the VH1 Divas event. She sported Sam Edelman heels, Sheila Fajl jewels and pulled her hair back into an elegant updo. We’re obsessed!

3. Rihanna

Rihanna definitely shined bright on the season finale of The Voice last week! The singer, who was there to perform her hit single “Diamonds,” donned a glitzy Swarovski crystal embellished jumpsuit paired with bronze sandals, a statement crystal necklace, crystal belt and a bracelet—all by Lanvin, of course. A pretty pixie cut and flawless makeup completed her look.

2. Kate Middleton

Looking royally gorgeous in a wool forest green Alexander McQueen dress with bell sleeves, Kate Middleton attended the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards in London last Sunday. She accessorized with black Jimmy Choo pumps, an Asprey pendant necklace and diamond earrings by Kiki McDonough. Stunning, to say the least.

Singer Ciara made an appearance at the VH1 Divas concert in LA last week wearing a dazzling black gown by Pamella Roland that was covered in sequins. Smokey eyes, a nude lip color and soft, sultry waves added the finishing touches.

Halter necks, cobalts and neutrals were all popular picks on the red carpet this week. And although the events were still slim due to the holiday season, a few of our favorite ladies were spotted dressed to the nines. Looking absolutely glowing at Seventeen’s “Power of Friendship” Luncheon on Wednesday, singer Demi Lovato celebrates her cover in a lemon lime top, colorful bracelets, a cobalt blazer and sky-high platforms to match. We can’t get enough of her high-waisted mullet skirt and those gorgeous burgundy locks! She completes her look with beautiful Erickson Beamon + Baublebar earrings.

4. Kendall Jenner

There’s just something about those Kardashian girls, or Jenner in this case! Rocking a draped, ruffled cobalt mini by Aaron Ashe, a sweet Sydney Evan bracelet and neutral peep-toe pumps, reality star turned model (and now jewelry designer) Kendall Jenner poses for a quick pic. How fab are those gorgeous sleek locks and her legs for days?

Channeling old Hollywood glamour at the season two premiere of her Showtime series Shameless on Thursday, actress Emmy Rossum dazzles in head-to-toe Ralph Lauren. She finishes off her look with a bold red lip.
