Ronald Weasley is coming to America! The actor famous for playing Harry Potter’s best friend, Rupert Grint, has just signed on to star in an upcoming CBS comedy called “Super Clyde.”
We might know him best as Ron Weasley, but Rupert Grint recently played Santa for a grieving British family, treating them to a free trip to the Harry Potter theme park in Orlando. Grint learned about the Carter family’s story and was moved to help them out.
The Carters lost their mother Denise in 2009 as she was giving birth to her fourth child with husband Steve. Grint accompanied the family to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando and gave them a tour of its shops and rides.
“The best thing was the look on the kids’ faces,” said Steve Carter. “There are great memories, and I know Denise was watching over us on the trip.”
Grint’s good deed was picked up by U.K. television execs and recently aired during the “Noel’s Christmas Presents” special.
With earnings last year of over $80 million, “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe is safely atop Heat Magazine’s 30 Under 30 Rich List for British celebrities.
Keira Knightley came in second with an estimated income of $48 million last year. Rounding out the top five are Robert Pattinson ($39 million), Emma Watson ($37 million) and Rupert Grint ($34 million).
Other notable names on Britain’s 30 Under 30 Rich List are Adele, who made her debut on the list with last year’s income of $10.8 million, Cheryl Cole, Craig David and Leona Lewis.
Are you surprised that the “Harry Potter” cast has such a strong presence on the list?
