This royal pregnancy-themed Tatler magazine editorial will do nothing to quell the rumors that Kate Middleton is expecting. The cover image was captured by photographer Chris Jackson of Getty Images — no surprise there, as studio photo sessions with royals are few and far between — and features a glowing, smiling Duchess of Cambridge.
The rest of the editorial features photos of Middleton interspersed with paparazzi shots of Princess Diana and other royals when they were pregnant. The accompanying storyline juxtaposes Middleton’s royal responsibilities with the unpleasantries of pregnancy in all its stages.

A Princess Diana dress exhibit has just been announced for Kensington Palace in London. The exhibit, which is called “Diana,” will feature some of the late icon’s most famous fashion pieces, including the Emmanuel gown she wore on her first public outing with Prince Charles.
Other fashion that will be displayed includes a Versace shift dress, a Bellville Sassoon Lorcan Mullany cocktail dress and two dresses from Catherine Walker. Interior designer Finola Inger will design the exhibit’s set, while Julie Verhoeven will contribute couture wallpaper that honors Princess Diana.
“Diana” will open on March 26, 2012; Fashionista reports that the Princess Diana dress exhibit is part of $19 million in renovations of historic spots throughout London ahead of the Olympic Games and Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee.
Princess Diana will always be remembered as a fashion icon. Do you think Kate Middleton will leave behind a similar legacy one day?
Will Lady Gaga die as a “martyr for fame” one day like Princess Diana did in 1997? She seems to fear so.
“Gaga has been absolutely fixated on Diana and sees herself as a 21st-century incarnation of her,” a source told The Sun. “She knows she is almost as recognizable as Diana and is hounded by photographers and fans on the same level. Gaga has had dreams about dying the same way as her and has genuine fears that her fame could literally kill her, either in a chase or at the hands of crazies.”
Lady Gaga is currently working on a song about Princess Diana, and already has one single — “Paparazzi” — that discusses the downside of fame. Her bloody performance of the latter song at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards featured a staged death in which the pop star hung from the ceiling.
Do you think Lady Gaga is paranoid or prescient?
This is the Doritaenopsis Elton John orchid, a white, magenta and golden flower named after Elton John at the 20th World Orchid Conference. The legendary entertainer flew out to the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Singapore with partner David Furnish and son Zachary to accept the honor.
“We’ve had orchids in our home all the time, so it’ll be great to grow our own, so we’re going to do that,” said John. “I have had a lupine named after me and even a rose, but never an orchid, and this is a great honor, as I am an avid lover of gardens. Thank you for your kindness for this, as it is an eloquent list of people I seem to have joined and this is indeed the most beautiful specimen of orchid.”
Other celebrities to have an orchid named after them at the World Orchid Conference include Nelson Mandela, Princess Diana and Jackie Chan.
Jessica Chastain‘s star is continuing to rise: she’s just signed on to play Princess Diana in the Oliver Hirschbiegel-directed biopic “Caught in Flight.”
“Caught in Flight” will depict a controversial period in Princess Di’s life when she dated Dr. Hasnat Kahn. The script, written by Steven Jeffreys, will portray her as “a damaged person who stalks the doctor after he ends the affair,” according to IndieWire.
To play Princess Diana, Jessica Chastain will have to adopt a British accent and dye and cut her hair. Do you plan on seeing “Caught in Flight” when it hits theaters?
