The Cannes Film Festival continued its sparkling presentation of global talent on Day 4 with the cast of The Hunger Games (Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, above, keeps things easy and carefree on the red carpet). Jury president Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, as well as Jane Fonda added Hollywood heavyweight status to proceedings, while Paz Vega, Benicio del Toro, Cheryl Cole, models Megan Gale, Liya Kebede & Doutzen Kroes, and Eva Longoria upped the sex appeal.

Highlights of Day 2 of the Cannes Film Festival included the premiere of the latest by Coppola family progeny Sofia ("Lost In Translation," "Marie Antoinette," "Somewhere," "The Virgin Suicides") for "The Bling Ring," a film firmly about a group of young wanna-bes who targeted celebrity's houses for a variety of burglaries. With a young cast led by Harry Potter starlet and fashionista Emma Watson.
Also representing on the red carpet were Freida Pinto, David Hasselhoff, Fan Bingbing and a host of fashionable pretty people. Check out the Day 2 gallery of images, below.

By now, you know what's going on... "Star Trek Into Darkness" is set to launch itself into "Iron Man's" jet stream and is likely to deliver a billion dollar pay day to those big studio folk who've put together a Trek with stars from across the planet to appeal to all-comers.
Well, last week we posted the big gallery of images from the world premiere in London, this week it's the West Coast's turn, rocketing the new Star Trek adventure into orbit from Los Angeles.
Check out all the pics of Zoe Saldana, Alice Eve, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, JJ Abrams, Leonard Nimoy, Kate Beckinsale, and many more, after these vertical dots:

Nick Nolte is awesome, should have been Oscar-nominated for Warrior, and his house seems like it would suit him to a 'T' - set on 2 acres in Malibu's Bonsall Canyon, this 6,000 square foot home has towering beamed ceilings, mahogany wood French doors and windows, and otherwise just has an air of gravitas that lends itself to Nolte's oeuvre of tough-yet-earnest roles.
The pool is more like a lagoon, there's a lighted tennis court/basketball court, even the 2 bedroom guest house has fireplaces, and the library/office area commands views over the property. Even the floors are freakin' onyx and Italian marble with wood inlay. The dude is gravelly, and his place is earthy. Check it out, and feel free to place a bid in the $8.25 million range.

Casey Kasem and the weekly top FORTY TWO MILLION DOLLARS!
Holy Holmby Hills, man! Casey and Jean Kasem have listed their French Classic Revival style property for a staggering $42m smackers. The place is huge, 12,000 square feet of single story living space, redecorated over the years by Mrs.K to include all sorts of antique furnishings and materials.
Purchased back in 1989, when the couple were living at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and were expecting their first child, the property sprawls over 2.4 acres. There's a library, screening room, design room, and even a room that the couple used as a hair salon. And there's a tennis court, three-hole golf course, and, of course, the heart-shaped pool.
Must get hard looking after a place like this... that's why there's a service 'wing.' Nice work, Mr. Kasem, nice... work.
