Red Carpet Round-Up: Transformers in Shanghai & Osaka

19, 2011 6:00am

The first film of 2011 to cross $300 million at the North American box office (in 19 days), “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” has made a further $460 million in global coin and rolled out its premiere machinery to China and Japan this week ahead of the film’s opening.

While blind rumors abound (of course) about Huntington-Whiteley and the men who couldn’t resist her on the Transformers set, Celebs.com saw Rosie with her beau, hard man Jason Statham (“The Expendables,” “Transporter”) walking the aisles of the local supermarket in Malibu, loading up the cart and discussing whether or not they had brown sugar at home. Yes, Statham was pushing the grocery cart. Nice to see super celebrity couples engaging in super normal activities.

SPECIAL EDITION: Transformers Red Carpet Round-Up

With what is now looking like a whopping $385 million box-office at the end of the July 4th weekend, "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" will surely go down as one of the biggest films of the year. Probably the best reviewed film of this franchise, Shia Labeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley lead a cast that includes "Grey's Anatomy's" Patrick Dempsey, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel and John Malkovich, all of whom turned out for the film's global premiere in Moscow, the first stop of a world tour whirlwind.
