The horrific tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut has left many of us mourning for the victims and their families. It has also sparked a national conversation about what can be done to prevent future attacks. In a new PSA, dozens of celebs have united to do demand a plan to end gun violence.
The recently-acquired Variety held its 3rd annual "Power of Comedy Award"on Saturday night, this year honoring Family Guy and American Dad creator Seth MacFarlane "for his numerous contributions to comedy."
Part of the festivities included raising funds for the Noreen Fraser Foundation for research into women's cancers, and the stars also signed a Thunder-Buddies t-shirt inspired by MacFarlane's hugely successful movie Ted (the film, with Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis) has made more than $500 million in worldwide box-office and is due out on DVD on December 11 (stay tuned for a Celebs.com giveaway!). The t-shirt will be auctioned off for charity.
