Casey Kasem and the weekly top FORTY TWO MILLION DOLLARS!
Holy Holmby Hills, man! Casey and Jean Kasem have listed their French Classic Revival style property for a staggering $42m smackers. The place is huge, 12,000 square feet of single story living space, redecorated over the years by Mrs.K to include all sorts of antique furnishings and materials.
Purchased back in 1989, when the couple were living at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and were expecting their first child, the property sprawls over 2.4 acres. There's a library, screening room, design room, and even a room that the couple used as a hair salon. And there's a tennis court, three-hole golf course, and, of course, the heart-shaped pool.
Must get hard looking after a place like this... that's why there's a service 'wing.' Nice work, Mr. Kasem, nice... work.

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters star and two-time Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, The Town, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) is a serious house-flipper. Together with his business partner, he's put this 1920s-style Holmby Hills mansion up for sale for $24.95 million (a property purchased in 2010 for $7 million).
2 acres, numerous fireplaces, swimming pool, cobblestoned driveway, theater, 14 foot ceilings, 11 bathrooms, 10,000 sq. ft. of house space... witch-hunters/house-flippers, what's the difference.

Boasting 7 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, Michael Jackson's final LA residence (from which he was taken to UCLA medical center in Westwood) is as close to a sweeping French-style chateau as they come.
Jackson was renting the estate with more than 17,000 square feet of living space for $100,000 a month when he died in 2009 and, although the value being sought for the property was in excess of $38 million at one point in time (prior to Jackson's residency), the final sale price reported is $18.1 million. As you can see from the pics below, there's a substantial guesthouse by the swimming pool, and the main house includes a huge kitchen, gym, elevator and private theater.
