So much for House of Payne, Tyler Perry offloaded a house built for pleasure in the Hollywood Hills' famed bird streets for $11.25 million (nice work, seems he picked up the property 7 years ago for $9.6m). Window into the swimming pool, clear catwalk above the wine cellar, gym, fireplaces... check out the pics

Nerdist co-founder Chris Hardwick has found his Hollywood Hills haven, shelling out a shade over $2 million for 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms over 4,200 square feet of sprawling space on a lot almost three times that size.
Stone walls, terraced gardens, and views all the way down to Long Beach make this place an original, and the house boasts all the trimmings of shabby chic - a clawfoot bath tub, steam shower, Viking appliances, reclaimed wood cabinetry and mosaic Italian tiles (including a mosaic tiled outdoor bath). Heck, there's even a log cabin to use as a media studio.
Chris, we approve. Nerd-up.

After attempting to sell his mansion for a shade under $15m back in 2010, TV-Radio personality Ryan Seacrest has off-loaded his 10,000 square foot Mediterranean mansion in Hollywood Hills West for a cool $11 million.
Replete with gym, wine cellar, stellar screening room, pool, tennis court, guest house and over an acre of property, the place has 6 bedrooms and 6 1/2 bathrooms, and could have easily hosted Simon Cowell and his mates for a casual Sunday beverage.
Known as the hardest working guy in Hollywood, who knows how much time Seacrest has to chill, but it's likely the dude's bank account can account for the purchase price of this place in the space of a year.
Check out the pics of the still single guy's little pad.

"Dexter's" Michael C. Hall just offloaded his freakishly beautiful mid-century modern (4 bedroom, 5 bathroom) home in the Hollywood Hills for $1,937,500. Records show that Hall bought the place in '08 for $1.75m.
The (originally Spanish) house was re-imagined (and lived in) by architect Hal Levitt, who turned the place into a mid-century modern wonderland. As you can see from the pics, it is truly beautiful. You can also tell Michael C. Hall, like his character, kept everything SUPER clean.
At about 3,525 sq.ft. of living space, with vaulted ceilings in the living room, Italian floors in the kitchen, a fire pit, a gorgeous pool with cool dining patio, a gym and views over the canyon, this place is a real slice of heaven.

It's nice to see a celeb acting modestly. While everyone already liked Meredith Vieira, who knew that her tastes in real estate would be so toned down. The host and her husband just purchased a place in the Hollywood Hills for $1.115m, probably less than she made in a single year while hosting the "Today" show.
Sitting on a cul-de-sec, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, vaulted ceilings, a couple of fireplaces and views over the hills toward the Griffith Park Observatory and the Hollywood sign, this midcentury modern features a wall of reclaimed brick, hardwood floors and a general zen attitude as chilled as the cool host herself. Check out some of the pics.
