“Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” is getting a sequel. According the Deadline, the studios (Paramount, MGM and MTV) didn’t want to give their go-ahead on a second flick until the movie reached a specific goal at the box office.

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters star and two-time Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, The Town, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) is a serious house-flipper. Together with his business partner, he's put this 1920s-style Holmby Hills mansion up for sale for $24.95 million (a property purchased in 2010 for $7 million).
2 acres, numerous fireplaces, swimming pool, cobblestoned driveway, theater, 14 foot ceilings, 11 bathrooms, 10,000 sq. ft. of house space... witch-hunters/house-flippers, what's the difference.
“Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” opened in theatres this past weekend, taking the top spot at the box office with $19 million.The action/horror/comedy movie beat out other new flicks, “Parker” and “Movie 43.”
The box office was quite depressing, but let’s see if ass-kicking fairy tale characters or an action star caught our eye for WWTW.
