Slated for release on December 16, 2011, “Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows” follows the Christmas 2009 release of Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes” with Robert Downey Jr. in the title role and Jude Law as Dr. Watson. Rachel McAdams returns as Irene Adler as the famous detective and his sidekick try to bring down their arch enemy Professor Moriarty (played by “Mad Men’s” Jared Harris)!

The 2009 release grossed more than a half-billion dollars in box-office globally and, this time with international star Noomi Rapace in the project (from the Swedish-language “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” franchise), the Warner Bros. team hope to repeat their earlier good fortunes.
