Lady Gaga is the undisputed queen of Twitter; she recently passed the 25 million follower mark. The Mother Monster acknowledged the milestone, tweeting, “#25milliontweetymonsters wow! I’m officially feeling like the luckiest girl in the world today. Last sold out show in Singapore in 2 hrs!”
Justin Bieber will most likely be the next entertainer to hit 25 million followers; he’s currently at about 22.6 million, while Katy Perry has 20.4 million.
Lady Gaga is the first Twitter user to hit 25 million followers, making this particular milestone something of a historical event as far as online media is concerned.
Demi Moore is no longer @MrsKutcher online or in real life: she’s officially changed her Twitter handle to @JustDemi and is back on the social networking service. Yesterday, the actress tweeted, “So hard finding a name that was fun somewhat playful and available. So for now it will be @justdemi It could grow on me!”
The last we heard about Moore and her Twitter handle was in December, when she tweeted that changing it wasn’t “a top priority now.” In mid-November, she announced that she’d filed for divorce from Ashton Kutcher after six years of marriage.
Are you one of Demi Moore’s 5 million followers?
Stop the presses! Betty White has joined the legions of celebrities on Twitter. The lovable 90-year-old has over 105,000 followers since joining as @BettyMWhite on Tuesday, and she’s already getting cheeky.
In a tweet to Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, White wrote, “My new show airs tomorrow and I hear we’re in the same time slot. I’ve always dreamed of sharing a night with you…”
Betty White likely signed up for Twitter to promote her latest television venture: a prank show called “Off Their Rockers” that airs on NBC.
Are you glad to see that White (or someone on her staff, at least) is so tech-savvy?
