Iron Man is about to have an Iron Baby.
Robert Downey Jr. and his wife of six years, producer Susan Downey, are expecting a baby together.
RDJ has a teenage son, Indio, from a previous marriage, and this will be his first child with Susan.
Robert’s rep says, “Robert and Susan could not be more excited over this news. They can’t wait to welcome this new baby into their wonderful family.”
And Susan’s aunt, Nancy Miller, tells Star magazine: “I think it’s wonderful that she’s pregnant. The baby is due in February. Susan’s father, my brother, called me about three weeks ago with the good news. Her parents are over the moon about it.”
We’ve got a great idea for a name: how about Robert Downey Jr. Jr.?
Angelina Jolie is a bit of an enigma, but there are four things we can definitely tell you about her. She IS on the cover of the October issue of Vanity Fair. She is NOT marrying Brad Pitt in the near future. She is NOT pregnant. And she is NOT adopting… not just yet.
Ange tells the magazine that there is no “secret wedding” in the near future, and adds: “I’m not pregnant. I’m not adopting at the moment.”
But she is metaphorically giving birth… to a screenplay. She wrote the script for a film called In the Land of Blood and Honey, and she’s going to direct it herself.
She wrote the script while bored and quarantined with the flu, and showed it to partner Brad, who gave her the highest of compliments:
“He called and said, ‘You know, honey, it’s not that bad.’”
Jolie says she’s been receptive to Pitt’s input to a certain extent, but doubts his ability to judge her objectively. “He’d come in and say what he liked or what he didn’t understand. Like any woman, I would listen to most of it and fight a few things…It’s hard to separate the person that loves you from the critic, so I don’t think he’s a fair judge,” she tells the mag.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler both have two children, but their kids might have some serious competition coming up in the form of a new Bateman.
Arrested Development star Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka have one daughter, Francesca, and they’ve revealed that another little girl is on the way.
Amanda’s dad, legendary crooner Paul Anka, spilled the baby beans while being interviewed for Entertainment tonight.
“I’m going to be a grandfather again,” the singer said, adding that it’s going to be “another baby girl.”
Grandpa Paul said that Jason’s “a very smart boy, a wonderful guy for my daughter.”
With Anka and Rod Stewart both talking to the media about the new additions to their family, celebs should take note: if you want to keep a baby secret, don’t tell Grandpa.
Aunt Miley? It’s got a certain ring to it.
Though only 18 herself, Disney darling Miley Cyrus is thrilled to learn that she’ll be an aunt. Her heavily tattooed brother, Trace Cyrus, is expecting a child with his girlfriend, Suite Life starlet Brenda Song.
The unlikely pair have been dating for several months, and a source close to the couple tells Celebuzz that “They are beyond thrilled. They are about eight weeks along.”
Hopefully, the baby won’t inherit Trace’s face tats.
One more Hollywood baby update and we’re done–swear!
The bump brigade is welcoming a new recruit: and it’s Lizzie McGuire! Hilary Duff had plenty to celebrate this weekend–not only did she toast her one year anniversary with hockey hubby Mike Comrie, but she announced that the pair are expecting.
Yesterday, Hilary hit her official website to share the news:
“This weekend, Mike and I are celebrating our one year anniversary! I can’t believe it has already been a year. Time really flies when you’re having fun! We also want to share the exciting news that baby makes three! We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives. Thanks to everyone for the continued love and support throughout the years!”
This gives new meaning to the phrase “up the duff”!
