Putting her family home on the market for a cool $10 million, music producer/songstress Kara DioGuardi (and builder/hubby Mike McCuddy) is looking to triple the $3.5m paid for the property back in 2004. A couple of weeks ago, DioGuardi had put the property on the rental market at $45,000 per month.
The songwriter has written tunes for Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Ashlee Simpson, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, THe Jonas Brothers, Pink, Carrie Underwood and Meat Loaf, and is currently starring as “Roxie” in “Chicago” on Broadway. DioGuardi is no doubt spending a little more time East Coast at the moment, and the 7,600 sq.ft., 5BR/6.5BA house (with separate studio) situated on a 3.5 acre spread in Studio City is more than a little hard to pack for the cross-country trip.
According to various reports, DioGuardi still owns a home in the Hollywood Hills that was listed and de-listed from the market last year, as well as property in Prospect Harbor, Maine (where she met her hubby).
While one Lopez–George–gets ready to take the final bow on his show, another Lopez has just inked a lucrative deal to return to TV.
Jennifer Lopez has made her decision in regards to returning to the judge’s panel on American Idol: she’s coming back!
AI‘s producer Nigel Lythgoe told Ryan Seacrest: “I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of American Idol is back for the next season.”
J.Lo’s first season salary was around $12 million, and she’ll allegedly be getting $20 million for her return.
Jenny from the Block can pretty much buy the entire block now!
When asked if she’s returning to the judge’s chair on American Idol, Jennifer Lopez has played coy, but sources say that’s she’s close to inking a deal for at least one more season. The rumor is that J. Lo will get close to $20 million if she signs on for more Idol, a pay raise that has fellow judge Steven Tyler itching for more cash, too, even though he’s only halfway through his two-year contract.
A spy tells Page Six: “Steven is halfway through a two-year deal, and his management has asked for more money. They argue he was just as sensational and as popular on the panel as Jennifer. But, on the other side, show bosses argue he’s tied into a deal and has to stick to it. However, it’s hoped they can come to a compromise to keep Steven happy, because the producers love him.”
Hopefully, producers won’t tell Steven to “dream on”.
