If you missed yesterday’s Super Bowl XLVI extravaganza, never fear: we’ve got everything from Kelly Clarkson‘s stirring rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” to Madonna‘s halftime performance and even Gisele Bundchen‘s post-game reaction to the Patriots’ loss.
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert: “America the Beautiful”
Kelly Clarkson: National Anthem
Last year, the world watched as Christina Aguilera flubbed the words to the National Anthem, but Clarkson’s performance had no such miscues. A children’s choir accompanied the “American Idol” alumna for the rendition:
Madonna: Halftime Show
Madonna’s star-studded halftime show performance thrilled fans with appearances by LMFAO, Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. Madonna performed classics and new songs, closing with a dramatic performance of “Like a Prayer” with Green and a robed chorus. Partway through M.I.A.’s part of the performance, the “Paper Planes” singer flipped off the camera, causing both the NFL and NBC to issue a swift public apology.
Gisele Bundchen: Post-Game Potty Mouth
Earlier this week, we reported on the email Bundchen sent friends and family members imploring them to pray for Tom Brady. Their prayers apparently went unanswered, as the Giants beat the Patriots. The Insider captured a fuming Bundchen after the game bashing her husband’s teammates, saying, “My husband can not f*cking throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”
