Skateboarding legend Stacey Peralta (“Dogtown & Z-Boys,” “Riding Giants”) brought perhaps his most personal documentary yet to Sundance 2012.
“Bones Brigade: An Autobiography,” follows a group of now legendary skaters from outside riders to big industry. Given their achievements, the collective shyness of the group is hard to fathom, Stacey Peralta, Rodney Mullen, Tommy Guerrero, Steve Caballero, Mike McGill, Lance Mountain, Tony Hawk – these are the skilled tricksters and innovators who pioneered a past-time and invented a sport.
“Bones Brigade” reveals the world they inhabited, how they handled it (or didn’t) and delivers an imperative insight to all those who’ve ever pondered a McTwist.
