A couple of decades ago, news like this might have triggered sign suggestions of the apocalypse, but today is definitely a new day: Boxing legend Mike Tyson is preparing for a starring role in an autobiographical, one-man show. Most incredibly, he’ll take the stage in one of the most revered places in the world for theater: Broadway.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee, “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth” was originally scheduled to run as a limited six-night engagement. However, high demand for tickets has doubled the show’s run with an additional six engagements being added.
This one-man show allows audiences to go beyond the ropes of the boxing ring and behind the tabloid headlines to get to know one of the most feared men to ever hold the heavyweight title.
Select tickets are still available through Telecharge. The performances run July 31 to August 12.
