Courtesy of ”The Lost Boys” and “Falling Down” director Joel Schumacher, the two Oscar-winning Nics, Kidman and Cage, receive hostage-in-their-own-home treatment in “Trespass.” The glasses-wearing Cage reminds us of his character in “Kick-Ass” and we’re hoping it’ll translate to the attitude of the film. Casting Cam Gigandet, who made his mark in “The O.C.” and “Never Back Down” and since then in “Easy A” and “The Roommate,” is surely a healthy start.
“Trespass” has its world premiere at the Roy Thompson Hall at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 14, 2011. Nicolas Cage and Joel Schumacher will both be there in person. The film releases to theaters on October 14.
